At Bohshar K-9's we take the health and well being of our dogs very seriously.  We want to ensure that your future puppy has the best possible start in a long happy life with you.

All prospective breeding dogs have the following testing done.

• Hearts tested by a certified cardiologist
• Eyes tested by a certified optometrist
• Penn Hip tested by OFA board certified veterinarian
• Patellas tested by OFA board certified veterinarian
  

Dogs included in the breeding program have eyes and hearts retested regularly.

• DNA genetic tests completed by Paw Print Genetics.
• Genetic tests include the following
  • Degenerative Myelopathy
  • Dry Eye Curly Coat Syndrome
  • Episodic Falling Syndrome

CHIC CERTIFICATION - When all of the required "breed specific" tests are done the dogs are given a CHIC number and certificate by Orthapedic Foundation for Animals
